CFK curriculum can be used to address the children's health, safety, nutrition and parent education areas of the Head Start performance standards.

• Comfort about the dentist is increased.
• They are proud to take care of their teeth.

Families:

• Attendance at parent meetings is increased – parents want to know about oral health.
• Parents are more invested in seeking professional dental care.

Staff:

• Teachers are energized by new, developmentally appropriate activites.
• Home visitors discuss oral health more often.
• Oral health of staff improves as their own awareness grows.

Community:

• Understanding of the importance of oral health is raised.
